How long will I participate in surveys?
As a member of the mingle community, you will receive an average of one invitation per week to participate in a survey project. However, it is important to note that the frequency of invitations may vary depending on the specific criteria of each study. You may therefore be invited to participate in surveys more frequently at certain times and less frequently at others.
Each survey we offer is designed to be both engaging and respectful of your time. On average, surveys last between 5 and 20 minutes. Some surveys may be shorter, allowing you to achieve them in just a few minutes, while other, more detailed surveys may take a little longer. We strive to offer you surveys that are not only relevant and interesting, but also fit in with your busy schedule.
Moreover, we reward you for your time!

Why has the completion percentage of my profile gone down?
Sometimes, you may notice that the completion rate of your profile, as indicated by the progress bar on your account, goes down instead of up. Have you ever wondered why this is?
This can happen when we introduce new questions into our profiles. We do this from time to time to help us understand you better and offer you surveys that are more tailored to you. By including these new questions, we want to deepen our knowledge of your preferences, needs and expectations. This will enable us to send you targeted surveys that interest you.
It's important that you complete these new questions to keep your profile as up-to-date as possible.

What can I use my mingle points for and how does it work?
So you've joined mingle and downloaded the app. You've completed your profile and have been taking part in surveys. You've managed to collect a few thousand mingle points already, but what now?
Now comes the best part! Start by login into your account. In the top navigation bar, you'll find a link to the 'Rewards' section. Once there, you'll find you can spend your points in 3 main ways.
First, you can donate your points to charity. There are currently 3 to choose from: Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), WWF & UNICEF.
Alternatively, you can redeem your points for a gift card. Choose from Amazon, ASOS or Marks & Spencer.
Finally, you can turn your points into cash by requesting a bank transfer. You can choose amounts ranging from £16 up to £80 in a single transfer. You'll be asked for your account details and the money will be added directly to your bank account.
Simply select the reward you wish to claim and follow the instructions on the site. Enjoy! !

What happens if you leave a survey part way through?
Many members ask us if they can leave surveys part way through and return later. Or simply start the survey again and submit their answers from scratch.
Unfortunately, this is not usually possible. When you start a survey, you should ensure you have the time to fill it in completely, as leaving a survey will probably mean you won't be able to enter again. This is important to ensure the quality of the research collected, as all research data must be collected in the same manner.
Of course, if you simply wish to edit some of your answers, most surveys will include a back button. Simply navigate back to the question you wish to edit and update your answer.

Earn points every time!
With mingle you receive points every time you participate in a survey. The number of points you receive is based on the level of difficulty of the questionnaire and the time required to complete it.
If you are invited to take part in a project but unfortunately you are not one of the participants we are looking for, we will credit you with 2 mingle points.
Points are credited to your account after you have finished taking part in each project.

Do my mingle points expire?
The mingle points credited to your account are valid for life. Provided you have collected at least 1 point in the preceding 12 months, your points will remain in your account, ready to be spent on rewards.
However, if your account is inactive, and you do not earn any points for 12 months, your points will expire. Your mingle points will also expire if you decide to close your mingle account. Furthermore, if you have not responded to any survey invitations or updated your profile for more than 36 months, your mingle account will be deactivated and data deleted.
Basically, so long as you keep active in the community, responding to surveys and updating your profile, your points will never expire, and your account will remain open !

Why is it important to update your profile??
At mingle, we know it's important to our community that they receive the surveys that are right for them. That's why we attach such great importance to the profile questionnaires.
By completing the questionnaires, you help us get to know you better. This increases the chances that the surveys we send you are more relevant. It will also increase your chances of being included in survey projects. This means more relevant surveys, more often.
However, as your circumstances change, so might your profile. From time to time, we also add new questions to the questionnaires. That's why it's important to make sure your profile is up to date. You can update your answers at any time to make sure we have the most recent information.

What happens to the information I provide in a survey?
All survey answers are anonymous and cannot be linked to you personally. Only the results of the survey will be used in aggregated form.
When we conduct research on behalf of an external organisation, we may redirect you to a survey on their site. We only work with verified institutes, universities and companies. Even then, we will never pass your personal data to a third party. They will only receive the answers you submit within their survey and an anonymous ID number.
If you are screened out before the end of a survey, after answering profile screener questions, the answers you have submitted are not retained and are not used as part of the research.

Why is it important to use a unique password for your mingle account?
mingle cares about the security of your personal data and your mingle account. That's why we would like to remind you of the importance of adopting good online security and safety practices.
Using the same password across different websites can leave you more exposed to criminals. If one of your accounts is compromised, it could mean that a hacker then has access to all of your accounts by using the same password.
Make sure you use a unique password for your mingle account. This will help prevent fraudulent access to your account and safeguard your points and personal data.

Why is it important to answer open-ended questions carefully?
By joining the mingle program, our members agree to answer surveys carefully. When answering an open-ended question, it is important to answer carefully and honestly. We attach great importance to the quality of the answers provided and carry out a thorough investigation for each survey in order to detect, among other things, inconsistent answers, inappropriate comments and abusive language.

WHY DID MY SURVEY END PREMATURELY?
Your survey may end early for two reasons:
1) Some surveys require a specific number of respondents with a particular profile. The quota may be reached by the time you complete the survey. To make sure you don't miss out, you can download the app to receive survey invitations in real time.
2) Perhaps you don't fit the profile we're looking for and are therefore excluded from the survey. To remedy this, update your profile to receive more surveys that are right for you and fewer that are not.
Either way, in both cases, you'll earn 2 points.

DID YOU KNOW SOME SURVEYS ARE FOR OUR MEMBERS' CHILDREN?
Some of our surveys are aimed at our members' children. If you have told us that you have children, you may occasionally receive surveys for them.
How do I know if the survey is intended for them?
To find out, please pay particular attention to the survey invitation e-mail you received or to the first page of the survey. There you will find the information specifying that the survey is intended for your child.
What happens if I take the survey instead of my child?
If you have children, we may invite you to take part in surveys designed for them. If you take the survey in their place, you won't fit the profile we're looking for and the survey will end as soon as the first questions are asked, you'll miss out on the points displayed and will only be credited with 2 points.
We recommend that you read the instructions for each survey carefully before starting.

HERE'S A FEW TIPS TO ENJOY A BETTER MINGLE EXPERIENCE
Update your profile: By keeping your profile up to date, you increase your chances of receiving surveys that suit you and reduce the chances of being excluded from surveys.
Pay attention: Read the instructions carefully before starting a survey. For example, some surveys are intended for our members' children. This is always mentioned at the start of the survey. Don't answer for them, or you'll be excluded and miss an opportunity to earn points.
Answer honestly: Answer questions truthfully and honestly. Don't provide false information, as this could distort the results of the survey and penalise you in the long run.
Take part regularly: Participating regularly in surveys allows you to quickly earn points, which you can then exchange for gifts.
Share your opinion freely: Don't be afraid to share your opinions, even if they differ from others. Panellists are selected to represent a diversity of viewpoints. Be yourself!
